Good Morning!
Today is the 38th day that Worldgate Communication has not yet turned back the network server for all customer Worldwide including Snap!VRS's own in which they are contracted under with. Snap!VRS are still operable under the H.323 technology tool that the deaf/hard of hearing customers can still use. With this old technology tool, we are still able to use the IP based numbers. The SIP technology is down for now as this is used for "phone numbers" you can call out.
Below you will find a video from Snap!VRS's own, Jeff Rosen. You can log onto their website, www.snapvrs.com and from there you can hit their PDF format to read the same message as what Jeff Rosen is reporting.
After reading this report, it has not yet impacted me. This is the same story that they keep telling us "making good progress" "You can still call Snap!VRS by using DLink, Sorenson's device......" etc. These are the same stories from the past 3 reports. I do not buy into this message because it is the 38th day and Snap!VRS has not undocked from the port of Worldgate Communication. They are still stranded. If Snap!VRS stated they are current on their financial matters with Worldgate Communication, then why have not they yet sailed off? There must be an other issues that we may be left in the "dark" that may prevent them to undock. I can not complain about Snap!VRS because they are contracted under Worldgate Communicaton and they are entitled to not sharing details. These are typcial statement coming from all businesses.
However, from Snap!VRS customer's perspective, hope are fading to use their service due to this lengthy delay. I do not blame them. I cannot persuade the customer's to remain postive and hope for the best of Snap!VRS because this is America, they have a say and a choice to use the service or not. Like all customer stated, its way too long for this kind of delay and they opt to eye elsewhere that are fitted for them to use "phone numbers". I found this very interested to know most customers are not familiar with IP Based calls. They prefer phone numbers that they can easily remember and save in their speed dial. IP base number changes depends on their ISP providers. With the SIP down, that hurt Snap!VRS's customer. Due the kind of problems on IP Based numbers, I will address this in my next blog report.
Lastly, my comments above to Snap!VRS is not intended to give them a negative comments. I am sharing what outsider are saying about the company's slow and lengthy delay. I will use Trump's Apprentice show 's titled quote. "It's nothing personal...It's just business" This is merely a fitted quote.

If it was SNAP!VRS that provided the captioning for Rosen's comments, then they've done themselves a grave disservice. I found the captions and Rosen's comments to often be at odds with one another (i.e. captions emphasizing a particular word while Rosen obviously wasn't emphasizing such a word. Also, the captions frequently 'simplified' the problems with Ojo while Rosen was explaining in much more detail than what was shown in the captions.
From what I heard through grapevine, the ojo network will be turned on in a few days.
We will believe when it actually happens.
Right now, my black ojo is stored inside the garage with pile of junk.

1> The whole point is that SnapVRS owes $$$ to Worldgate Communications.
2> Because SnapVRS did not give $$$ to Worldgate Communications (WGC), they have no choice but to shutdown the Ojo network. If WGC let SnapVRS continue owing WGC more and more $$$ WGC will go in deep financial trouble. SnapVRS needs to pay WGC on time (aka "in timely manner").

What SnapVRS told us is the other side of the story. I don't know which one to believe, but you can't lie in the SEC filing report.

Last Anon: Your thoughts are messed up! Why? Because, if WGC has a problem with SnapVRS, they could just turn off on SnapVRS' customers only. It shows that the WGC management performs the job poorly.
Jeff Rosen, sure was good to see you on Gallaudet DPN live-video last night. I am wondering how much more time left we see the Ojo network staying down? Or, can SnapVRS buy the Ojo network and administrate by SnapVRS for all SnapVRS customers only!
Last Anon and a friend of snapvrs - I read the SEC report filing by Worldgate seems they said ONE CUSTOMER. I guess one customer mean Snap!VRS because the SEC report did not specific who is one customer. For a friend of snapvrs that were what Worldgate did to Snap!VRS customers only. that is what I understand from the SEC report.
I agree with Northcutt and Last Anon we leave in the dark too much and we is getting too much vague message from Snap!VRS .

Several people on this blog have asked about WorldGate’s claim that Snap!VRS owes them money. As Richard explained in his February 6th letter copied & pasted below, that claim is simply not correct. Since we provided our explanation of the situation, we have seen the public, both deaf and hearing, recognize that Snap!VRS is not at fault for WorldGate’s financial situation.
As for the timing of the Ojo network being back up, Snap has been working nonstop to get it operating again at the earliest possible moment. I can say that right now, Snap!VRS has completed what it needed to do to get the network up again. We are now helping WorldGate work out some issues with other parties to get things squared away with them. As I mentioned in my vlog, we don’t want to announce a specific date if theres a possibility that other parties need a bit more time to get set into place also. We are also sensitive to the fact that WorldGate as a public company has certain legal and fiduciary obligations that we must help uphold by maintaining confidentiality about their proprietary information. But we have urged everyone to get this done as soon as possible, we expect to have this completed soon, and wont stop working until it gets done.

Dear Snap!VRS Customers,
Today, I am writing to give you facts about the current Ojo network disruption, but
most importantly to assure you that Snap!VRS has acted, and will continue to act,
with the highest degree of integrity and ethics. I’m sure you are well aware by now
that the Ojo network is down. Please be assured that Snap!VRS is committed to
you, our valued customer, and we are doing everything in our control to best serve
your needs. This is a frustrating experience for all of us.
Yesterday morning, WorldGate Communications, Inc. (“WorldGate”), a public
company that manufactures the Ojo video phone and operates the Ojo network that
enables you to make calls, issued an SEC filing stating that they have been forced to
shut down operations “as a first step to winding down its business” as a result of a
dispute over payments supposedly owed by “its largest customer.” Although
WorldGate did not identify the customer by name, we want you to know that this is
a direct reference to us, Snap!VRS.
While WorldGate would like to direct the blame for its present financial troubles on
us, the blame does not reside with Snap!VRS and it is misleading for WorldGate to
suggest so. In actuality, we are current on all payments and do not owe WorldGate
any money. We feel so strongly about our position and are so intent on resolving
this matter swiftly that we have offered to submit this disagreement to immediate
binding arbitration, a process by which an independent third party decides who is
right. WorldGate has rejected this offer.
Our priority is to ensure that the Ojo network is always up. In efforts to help
WorldGate through its financial troubles, we have made numerous offers to finance
WorldGate’s continued operations - even without the usual equity stake an investor
would typically take. So you know how committed we are to resolving this situation,
it is important to note that these offers have actually exceeded the amount
WorldGate claims we owe them. WorldGate has thus far refused all of these offers,
but we remain in discussions with them.
We have recently extended another financing offer to help WorldGate through its
financial troubles that would include restoring the Ojo network. Although we still do
not know when the Ojo network will be back up, I am hopeful that a solution is
nearly at hand. So please keep your Ojo close by.
In the meantime, the Snap!VRS network and our highly qualified interpreters are
available and proudly serving customers 24 hours a day. While the Ojo network is
down, you may use an alternative video phone (e.g. VP-100/200 and D-Link) to call
Snap!VRS for all of your interpreting needs. Please dial “snapvrs.tv” or
“call.snapvrs.com” from your video phone.

I did several times to login the "community" tab to give out feed back and so forth but ended up not recognized. I report this but the lack of reply never arrive and I kept changing password, etc. still a failure. I do not know why but when I change my profile, it never updated. That is the kind of problems others have and maybe not enough of feed back posting. It may change though but still today I am unable to log in.
Perhaps, to better get more inputs from the consumers through the Community feedback, I would recommend to remove the login and password. SnapVRS may have a reason for it, it is ok. But it takes "headaches" to login all times. Just a 2 cent worth to share with you.
Again, my blog is intended to hear out people's feedback and inputs.

I ordered an Ojo from Snap, since they would not allow me to receive the interoperability download because my previous Ojo wasn't from Snap. However, my current Ojo is from Snap (purchased on October 26 from their website, charged to my credit card in the name of Snap VRS) and is not interoperable.
Someone logged into the unit this past weekend (November 11, 2007) from either WorldGate or Snap, then modified the software on it without my permission. I did not breach any license agreement or improperly use the phone. It was changed it from interoperable (factory condition) to not interoperable.

My virus protection was malfunctioning for a short time yesterday, and during that time I got a virus. I'm sure there's an answer out there, but I can't find it because I can't do a proper search. Any tips you can give me for how to eliminate this problem would be greatly appreciated. I use Firefox and XP Professional. Also, I have been receiving a lot of notifications from Nortons that an IP address in Luxembourg (212.117.174.176) is trying to attack my computer.
